1. The Ultimate Adventurer
An Ultimate Adventurer (UA) can be any of the five main Adventurer classes (Bowman, Magician, Thief, Warrior, Pirate), but is created differently, and with a bunch of extra perks. They are created by completing a few steps on a level 120 Knight of Cygnus (KoC), and begin at level 50. There's not much to to say when defining an UA, but there is a lot to say about the benefits.
The "extra perks" of an Ultimate Adventurer include:
• An "Ultimate Adventurer" Medal: 2 weapon/magic attack, 200 HP/MP, 10 speed/jump. The Medal is titled: "(Your 120 KoC's name)'s Successor" e.g. "KimsKoC's Successor"
• One Cygnus skill depending on your UA class
• Empress' Strengthening Skill
• A level 24 Empress' Blessing from your 120 KoC
(More in-depth information will be provided throughout the guide)
Note: You can only have ONE UA at a time, so if you want to make one of another class, you would have to delete your current one, and make another 120 CK to get the quest for a UA again.
2. Creating Ultimate Adventurer & Knight of Cygnus Additions
You will need to create a KoC and level this to level 120. To do so, you DON'T need to follow the KoC storyline and large chain quest. Instead, I suggest you to follow the training spots to speed up things:
Level 1-10 Lith Harbour; Any type of snails
Level 11-17 Henesys (left side); Orange Mushrooms
Level 17-30 Henesys (right side); Temple of Stone Golems
Level 30 - 2nd job advancement.
Level 30-47 Mansion's Main Chimney; Rotting Skeletons
Level 35-60 Ludibrium Party quest (requires a party of at least two members)
Level 48-60 Mansion's Main Chimney; Dead Scarecrows
Level 60-90 Lord Pirate Party quest (requires a party of at least two members, or someone who is willing to 'fake' you inside)
Level 70 - 3rd job advancement.
Level 85-120 Altaire Camp; Mossy Snails; Leech experience from higher leveled attackers
Level 90-110 Ghostship 1/2/6; Pac Pinky, Slimy or Selkie Jr.
Level 110-120 Normal Boss PQ; Talk to Cokebear in FM and warp to the lobby
Now you are level 120 you are now able to start the ending quests.
Chasing the Knight's Target
Involved: The familiar old light bulb over your head
Process: You know the drill by now. Click the lightbulb, accept, and find the NPC for the next quest. If there is no light bulb then proceed to the next quest.
Hunting the Zombies
Involved: [Jade], Forest of Dead Trees, [Coolie Zombie], [Black Scale - Ground], [Black Scale - Inventory]
Requires: Chasing the Knight's Target accepted
Process: Unlike previous quests, you do not need to visit Neinheart after the lightbulb quest appears. Instead, make a visit to El Nath, and look for Jade on the east side of town. She will give you the rather vague hint that the knight you are looking for was hunting zombies. Where can you find zombies? Way up in the El Nath dungeon, of course. Leave to the east side of town and keep going right and up until you encounter Coolie Zombies (I am not sure if Minor Zombies inside the mine work, but Coolie Zombies for sure do). You can also take the black VIP Cab on the east side of town to skip over some of the trip, or use a Dead Mine Scroll and backtrack a map or two to the zombies. Coolie Zombies should be easy to kill in one hit by now, but it may take a lot of kills though to find the item of interest - the Black Scale. For reference, I found about 125 Zombie's Lost Tooth before a Black Scale. Later, I found only one Black Scale in the process of finding 60 Zombie's Lost Gold Tooth. So I may have simply gotten lucky. As you can see in the pictures above though, the Black Scale is tradable, so if you're lucky, you may be able to find someone who already has one to buy from, or at the very least more easily get help from friends. Either way, once you have the scale, this quest is automatically considered completed and the next one becomes available.
Black Scale
Involved: Lightbulb!, Black Scale, [Spiruna's House - Map], [Spiruna's House - Entrance], [Spiruna]
Requires: Hunting the Zombies completed, Black Scale in possession
Process: After locating the Black Scale for the previous quest, yet another lightbulb will appear over your head. For the first time for Cygnus Knight quests, this one is from Spiruna! She simply wants you to take the Black Scale to her in Orbis. To locate her, go back to Orbis and take the middle height portal in town (right over the entrance to Orbis Tower). Then take the lower portal, and keep going down and right to Cloud Park IV. Once in Cloud Park IV, enter the house in the center on ground level and talk to Spiruna to complete this quest.
Dragon Outcasts
Involved: [Chief Tatamo], [Manon's Forest - Map], [Manon's Forest - Entrance], [Nix]
Requires: Black Scale completed
Process: Accept this quest from Chief Tatamo near the center of town in Leafre. Then, locate and talk to Nix, who can be found in Isolated Forest which can be accessed through either Manon's Forest or Griffey's Forest. See the maps in the Involved section for help.
The Stolen Egg
Involved: Nix, Griffey, Manon
Requires: Dragon Outcasts completed
Process: Leave the Isolated Forest through either side. One direction goes to Griffey's Forest, the other to Manon's Forest. You must find the boss monster that spawns in each one and defeat it. They are much harder than the level 110 skill bosses and only spawn once every six hours. You may need to check each channel or even wait in order to find one. I recommend bringing friends along as well. Once you have defeated each boss at least once, return to Nix.
Note: If you can't find either of the bosses, you are always able to defeat either of them in Normal Boss PQ.
The Cave of the Black Witch
Involved: [Nest of a Dead Dragon - Map], [Cave of Black Witches - Entrance], [Frightening Marble]
Process: Locate Nest of a Dead Dragon in Leafre (way out in the middle of nowhere by the skelegons) and enter the cave there. Talk to the Frightening Marble NPC inside to accept and finish this quest at the same time.
The Knight That Disappeared
Involved: Neinheart, Cave of Black Witches, [Fallen Knight]
Process: Accept this quest from Neinheart, then stock up on potions. You will be dealing with Darkness (non mages may want to bring eyedrops from the potion store in Ereve to counter the reduction of accuracy) and Zombify (all classes may want to bring potions that recover double to counter the 50% decrease in potion recovery). Chances are you will die a few times too. Makes you glad you don't need to level any more, huh? After preparations are done, visit the Cave of Black Witches again and talk to the Fallen Knight NPC there that you "missed" last time (actually, he wasn't even there!).
The Curse of the Black Witch
Involved: Shinsoo, [Black Witch]
Process: Talk to Shinsoo, then head west a short way and talk to the Black Witch. Decline when asked to (accepting won't get you anywhere) and then get ready for a fight! Kill the Black Witch, who will turn into a boss monster, and then talk to Shinsoo again. Then leave the map through the portal on the left.
Animations
Watch those skill animations, or you'll end up dead!
- Bluish white pillar of light in front of her: Moderately dangerous. Deals 3K damage and knocks you across the screen.
- Black circle on top of her: Mildly annoying. Inflicts Zombify at a fairly low rate. Potions temporarily recover 50% of what they normally do on success.
- Blue circles rising around her while her mouth is open: Mildly annoying. Inflicts Darkness at a fairly low rate. Temporarily severely reduces accuracy on success.
- Blue circles rising around her while her mouth is closed: Incredibly dangerous. Casts Damage Reflect on herself at a 100% rate. All damage dealt to her is returned to you. Don't attack until the purple icon is gone!
Notes
• She has quite a lot of hit points and a very high knockback amount (11K damage will not knock her back).
• Summons can safely hit her even with damage reflect on, although it only does 1 damage. Can be useful for identifying whether it is on or not.
• Damage reflect is only cast after 50% of her hit points are gone. Until the health bar no longer passes the right edge of the timer, you're safe.
• The second step from the top of the structure on the left is outside her range, but leaves her within range of some player attacks. This can possibly be used to your advantage.
Hero of Ereve
Once you have a level 120 KoC, the Empress will provide a quest that you must complete. It asks for 10 Peridots, which drop from the monster "Harps" in Leafre. From completing this quest, you gain two new skills on your CK:
• The Empress' Call: [Master Level: 1] Permanently increases your HP and MP by 20%.
• The Empress' Prayer: [Master Level: 1] Your weapon and magic attacks increase by 4% for two hours. The buff will not disappear until the time limit is reached. In other words, you can die without losing the buff. Cooldown: 24 hours.
Those skills are specifically for your KoC. But the quest also triggered the ability to create your UA. Be sure to have a character slot available so that you can complete this quest and create your UA. You can make your name and change the hair/eyes as you would with a new character. Once you created your UA, you can log off your KoC and find your UA in one of your character slots. You do not lose your KoC when you create your UA. Also, your UA's skill points are not automatically distributed, so you can add them to your liking.
3. What Your Ultimate Adventurer Comes With
Aside from the perks listed in Section 1, the UA comes with some equips and new skills. I do not have the specific stats on the individual equips, but like other equip sets, there are added bonuses to wearing them all at once:
4 set bonus
HP: +100
MP: +100
Physical Defense: +50
Magic Defense: +50
5 set bonus
AllStat: +6
Weapon Attack: +5
Magic: +5 Physical Defense: +100
Magic Defense: +100
Speed: +20
Skills will be discussed in the next sections.
4. Your Ultimate Adventurer's Cygnus Skill
This is one of the main perks to having a UA. Depending on the class you made your UA, you receive a Cygnus skill.
• Warrior: Soul Driver
• Magician: Flame Gear
• Archer: Wind Piercing
• Thief: Vampire
• Pirate: Sharkwave
This means your KoC can be any class and it will not decide anything about your UA. It also means that a Thief cannot have Soul Driver, etc.
To increase your mastery of these skills, all you need to do is level up. At level 50, it has a mastery level of 1, and the max is 5. Every 10 levels, 1 point is added to your
mastery of the Cygnus skill. So, by level 90, the skill will be maxed.
5. Empress' Strengthening and Blessing of the Empress
Empress' Strengthening is very simple.
• Empress' Strengthening: [Master Level: 1] Allows the user to wear equips that are 10 levels or less higher than the user's level.
There is also Blessing of the Empress, which is explained below.
• Blessing of the Empress: [Mastery Level: 24] For every 5 levels gained on your highest-level Knight of Cygnus, 1 level of blessing is added to your other characters. 1 level of blessing is 1 physical attack, and 1 magic attack.
This is twice as effective as Blessing of the Fairy, which provides one point every 10 levels, and is provided by an adventurer character.
BoE and BoF is provided to every character on your account (in the same world) aside from the character that provides it. Also, BoE does not stack with BoF. Your characters simply get whichever skill provides more attack, and the lesser one is not applied. A character cannot provides its own BoF or BoE, so a minimum of two characters is needed to have the skill(s). Again, a character on your account will receive the Blessing from whichever character can provide the highest amount.
For those that do not understand these skills, here is how they work. Your characters receive 1 weapon/magic attack (from BoF) for every 10 levels that your highest character is. (If it was BoE, it would be every 5 levels.) As previously stated, your characters cannot provide their own Blessing, so here is an example of a set of characters:
131 Shadower
75 Marauder
50 Striker (KoC)
The level 75 Marauder receives 13 points because the possible BoF (from the Shadower) provides a greater attack boost than the possible BoE (from the Striker). Therefore, the Marauder gets the level 13 BoF and the BoE is nonexistent on this character.
The level 131 Shadower, however, gains 10 points from BoE. The Marauder is only able to provide 7 points from BoF, while the Striker can provide 10 points from BoE. So, the Shadower would take what benefits him more. The BoE is applied to the Shadower and the BoF will not be given.
The level 50 Striker receives 13 BoF for similar reasons.
6. Obtaining the UA Skills on a Non-UA Adventurer
The two skills discussed in this section are the Empress' Strength and the Cygnus Skills.
A normal Adventurer can get these skills, beginning with Empress' Strength, but by completing a quest. An Adventurer of level 70 or higher will automatically get a quest from their Job Instructor, asking to collect 20 leaves from Ariant's Desert Rabbits. According to Spadow, the drop rate is incredibly low. But after you finish the quest, you gain the Empress' Strengthening skill.
After completing the quest above, the Adventurer can get a quest from a Knight Instructor. They will ask that you collect 10 orb-like items, and upon completion, the skill that goes along with your class (mentioned in Section 3) will be given to you. This quest is also available at level 70. I believe that you must complete the Strengthening quest to begin this quest though.
To level up your KoC skill as an adventurer, you must level up 10 times and repeat the quest for one more skill point. So, you would need to level up 40 times to fully master your KoC skill (you automatically have 1 point in it upon gaining the skill).
Personally, I do not think the Empress' Strengthening skill is not worth the trouble it seems to give. The KoC skill is probably more valuable than the other.
